Antique Cylinder Music Box / Bells Drum – Zither. Pretty nice antique cylinder music box with 6 tuned saucer bells drum and zither attachment. This is a 8 tune box in nice playing condition, this was restored about 30 years ago and has seen limited use since then. Cylinder all looks good, I did not see any bent pins, Comb is good no teeth or tips missing and none have have been repaired. Cylinder measures approximately 13 (only the pinned cylinder part). The bee strikers as I remember are not original it had plain balls and when restored the bee’s were added. I do not recognize the tunes (the tune sheet is a blank replacement) but all eight are nice waltzes and I think they also call them 2 step tunes. My only complaint is it seems to run a little fast if you wind it tightly so I only crank it 4-5 times more than enough to play several tunes. One thing I just noticed there is no geneva winding stop on the spring barrel. These were quite often removed. The case is not perfect and showing its age. It displays nicely but has issues, not bad but the case is not mint. The lid has had 2 repairs above and below the center inlay. On the front of the box the pinstripe inlay on the left side some is missing. Small sliver of wood missing on front left foot edge. On the left end of the case is slight warping causing a small separation to the front and back corners. And wear and small dings to the faux gaining of the case.
