The top of the box has a inlaid flower design and has brass adornments. The sides of the box are beautiful burl wood veneer. The inside of the lid is a picture of children playing. There is a crack in the glass that covers this picture. There is a hinged glass lid that covers the musical movement. The right side of the box is the hand crank for winding up the music box and on the left side is a round push pull knob that is the start or stop switch. This music box is in exceptional condition and plays beautifully. All 16 discs are in great condition and all play well.
