SWISS 13 CYLINDER MUSIC BOX. Dainty inlays made from various species of wood to replicate roses and foliage and an inlay stringing border are featured on the lid of this beautiful music box. The sides of the box are grain-painted with broad strokes. Inside, the music box has a secondary glass lid that allows for watching the musical components play while protecting them from exposure to dust and the environment. The pins of the brass cylinder strike the 62 teeth of the comb to create a rich sound. A pull-handle crank drives the turning of the cylinder. This Swiss music box is BEAUTIFUL in every way. You will be drawn to its beautifully crafted and finished rosewood case with marquetry and string inlays. The 13 cylinder plays very nice tunes with lovely tone and clarity.
