This fine music box features six airs together with its original heavy stock, full color tune card affixed to the underside of the lid. Lever wind movement winds spring easily. No teeth are missing on the comb. The spring is strong, the governor is quiet, the parts are clean (very little tarnish), and the mechanism is working properly. Cylinder is properly aligned and the notes are bright. A beautiful-sounding music box. Glass panel is clear and undamaged and is original, as are all parts on the mechanism. Internal winding lever, with very tight spring. The cylinder is 12.5 inches long, the box measures 22.5 x 8.75 x 535 inches. The cabinet is original to the music box and in excellent condition with the minor exception of a tiny piece of string inlay missing and some finish damage on the lower edge of the case. (see photos) Lovely original floral inlays embellish the lid. Lid lays flat when the box is closed. Cabinet has a key, but it turns the tumbler in the lock, but it doesn’t engage. Inal tune card is in outstanding condition, with bright colors and no damage. The card title reads, “Sublime Harmonie Cremolo, ” and the bottom of the card proclaims, Philadelphia Gold Medal 1876.
