I believe this to be a. KARL GRIESBAUM piece however I have only been able to find one other picture of this item on google/pintrest, maybe its super rare? Or just a different maker.. The quality is very good, the collectors out there will know what this is and can know if it is or not. This is for a collector or a repair person that is familiar with these items, it is not working and needs a lot of work to get it restored, as research tells me the parts for these are hard to find (id be happy to restore this myself if I could find the parts). Overall the condition I would say is very good cosmetically, if you need more pictures please send me a message and I can provide specifics on what you need. The unit is about 54cm tall from base to top of the light pole, the sailor himself is about 28cm. I drew a small picture with the dimensions. So here is what I can tell about this item. Its marked Germany on the underside. The condition for its age is very good, there are a couple small issues but you have to really look for them (check pictures). The inside mechanical parts are all missing. The electronic parts are missing from the base (there are some wires). The back is missing. If there was a cover on the bottom that is also missing. On the lamp post there is one piece of glass missing/broken. (the cost posted is estimate, it might cost even a bit more depending on where you live). This is for a project, parts or repair. It is a non working unit. For a project, Parts or Repair. Item ships with tracking. Please examine all photos as they are part of the item description. If I have missed any information in the description it is not intentional. Waterproof, water resistant etc.. Not tested and not guaranteed (if I have tested I will state it in the description). In General Mechanical and vintage watches need maintenance and servicing, buyers should expect to have to bring these watches into a watchmaker the same as changing the oil in your car to keep it running although not as often as a car. Mechanical watches are prone to damage if you hit them to hard, drop them, shake them to hard or exert any excessive force on them these have fine moving parts that are often moving at a high speed actions such as using a mechanical watch when hammering things or punching things.. These are examples only and. How do vintage watches keep time? Vintage mechanical watches do not keep exact time like its quartz counterparts, expect that watches that we list as working and keeping time unless otherwise specified run +/. 1-3 mins a day, we consider this to be acceptable for most vintage watches. Note: we do not time our watches to seconds lost or gained in a day. If the watch in the listing says its tested then I have manually wound the watch and watched it for at least 12 hours. I do not have any sort of automatic watch winder to test automatic functions, generally unless stated I have only done a manual wind test. If it is an automatic I will generally shake the watch until it starts ticking and then watch it for an hour. After that I will do the manual wind test as per above unless otherwise specified. Vintage watches and mechanical watches need to be services often by a watchmaker to keep them running, similar to your car and oil changes. Unless specified in the listing watches are not serviced and will need to go to a watchmaker for a checkup and service to be good time keepers and continue running smoothly. I cannot change those numbers. Thank you if you have read everything to this point! Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and ill be happy to answer them. Good luck, and God bless!
