Item is a beautifully crafted musical jewelry box with a hummingbird that moves and flaps its wings up and down to the tune of Somewhere Out There. ” Has “The San Francisco Music Box Company sticker on the bottom. Top is glass so you can see the hummingbird on the right and crushed red velvet lining the box part on the left. Outside is some sort of gold-plated metal with an intricate rose design. The hummingbird is painted in exquisite detail. The music box operates via a standard wind-up mechanism located on the bottom of the box. Another sticker indicates it was made in Japan. The jewelry box measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall x 8 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches deep. It weighs approximately 2 pounds, 2 ounces. Acquired from an estate sale and is uncleaned, so there is some minor dust on the inside of the box on the crushed velvet and some fingerprints on the glass-both can be removed.
