This is a rare 134 year old, Antique working 1887 CONCERT ROLLER ORGAN Hand Crank Music Box. The original instructions are pasted on the inside as can be seen in the photos. It has an 1887 patent date. It is made of genuine black walnut wood with original stencil lettering and designs. It measures approximately 18″ wide x 12″ tall x 15 deep. It is in good, working condition. I will include one cob for you. If you look at the last photo you will see a round mark in the glass. It is smooth on both sides though. The cylinder and all of the mechanism are enclosed and covered with a glass door, which effectually excludes dust and dirt. This is a very desirable instrument, produces delightful music and as the cylinders are removable, a great many different pieces can be played. The tone is similar to that of a parlor organ as the tone is produced by a cylinder containing teeth which open and close the valves. It is made of genuine black walnut, nicely finished. I hope you listen to the Youtube video because this organ sounds great! The back of the lid swings up (as demonstrated on the video) for increasing the volume.
