This Kalliope uses 9 1/4 inch discs. I have 8 of these discs (including one Christmas song) that come with the music box. The case with a beautiful inlay at the top measures is 30 x 28 x 18 cm. (12 x 11 x 7 inch). This music box is spring wound and has an automatic stop / start mechanism. There are no teeth missing in the comb. It plays loud and clear as you can hear in the You-Tube file.
