The two panels are adorned with winged Cherubs – wings correlating to the Santo – of Renaissance-religious theme, as well as the musical aspect of the two pieces, with both Putti playing instruments. Very strong cross-over collectability. Allegory to Cupid and Psyche. And, of course, the Black Forest feel. Age: 19th Century – c.
