6 Song & 4 Bell Henry Gautschi & Sons Cylinder Music Box for Parts /Restoration. From and estate sale: This antique music box is great for parts or a restoration project. Used Condition : This amazing music box will play after I pull the winding handle. Here are my observations on this old music box with regard to its condition. The pawl (should be spring loaded) need to be pressed down manually to engage the winding mechanism. There are tines broken off/missing from the music comb. The finish has some nicks, dings, and scratches. The wood inlay has defects with warped, dinged, or missing pieces (see pictures with pen for examples & a close up view). The music plays despite missing notes due to missing tines. The bell striking mechanism works but needs to adjusted (bells are not hit or hit but do not resonate after being struck). The bottom board is cracked. The start stop lever does not work. Note : The above is not an all inclusive but, lists what I can see. Please examine every picture.
