ENSCO Collection: Enesco Small World of Music Collection. This long retired 1992 Enesco music box was made for a short time period in a limited production. Mousterpiece Theatre is in excellent vintage condition and comes from my parents own personal adult collection. The theme is “Romeo and Juliet” and all mice are dressed in period costumes. While the tune “Romeo and Juliet” plays, each mouse performs his or her task. One mouse holds her needle and thread and puts the finishing touch on the leading lady’s finery. Just one final powder puff and Miss Mouse primps before a mirror held by her co-star. High above the performers, the trusted stage-hand focuses the spotlight. Romeo and Juliet have delivered their best performance of the tour, and they proudly take a bow. What a delightful piece this is with all of its exquisite detailing and coloring. It was displayed on a bookshelf where is could be safely admired. This musical box comes with its Enesco hangtag. All lights, music, and motion work perfectly. This particular musical is operated by 4 AA batteries and features a wind up key for the music and has an on/off switch. Includes only what is seen in the photos. AA batteries and the Original Outer box are not included. Terrific Sound with easy winding and all Lights work and are bright. Color is Vibrant with no scratches seen on the surfaces. It has no cracks, no chips, and no dents. It is in need of a dusting/cleaning as it was sitting in their cabinet for decades. The 4 AA batteries are NOT included.
