Vintage Reuge Capodimonte-style musical cigarette and lipstick carousel, with a Swiss Reuge musical movement. This ornate piece features raised classical scenes with cherubs and figures, decorative gilt-tone columns, an antiqued metal base, and a cherub finial. The carousel was designed to open its vertical panels and reveal compartments for cigarettes or lipsticks while the music plays. The original Reuge label identifies the musical selections as “Menuet de Mozart” and “Le Bleu Danube” (“The Blue Danube”). The piece shows normal age-related wear, surface patina, discoloration, and minor marks consistent with a vintage item. Works as it should. Music plays either cassette that it came with or can use your own. Carousel spins around and horses slide up and down. Only flaw is lady 2 pictures that show a missing piece and another piece needs glued back on. Can pit missing piece to back and will not see. Nice nostalgia carousel music.
