This is a rare 19th century Swiss Cylinder music box in fine working condition. The crank and both switches (Change/Repeat & Stop/Play) both work though at times I need to slide cylinder to the left, it springs back and starts playing. All teeth are present. It is approximately 14″ long, 4 3/4″ high, 7 deep (CM: 35x18x12). The box top has some issues. Some banding inlay is missing. It has a gouge on left margin. It has some other scratches. The front has some minor scratches & paint. The sides and back are good. It contains 8 airs/songs. Also 4 1/2 Pouces which I believe refers to cylinder size. It is serial number 25093.

Up for sale is an antique Columbia Six Airs Swiss cylinder music box, designed to play six different tunes. It measures approximately 13.25″ wide x 7.25″ deep x 5 high and is in working condition. The crank is slightly loose and takes a few turns to engage, but once started, it plays smoothly. The Play/Stop and Change/Repeat levers are not functioning. The paper song list inside, on the lid, has a torn corner, and there are scuffs on the wooden case, but overall, it looks good and displays beautifully. A piece of the wood is broken as shown, we will send the original missing piece in the box, carefully wrapped. The music box will only play a note or two here and there. Just listen to this it’s not only beautiful and very evidently old being circa 130 this has three heirs the stars and stripes forever the bell of New York and the honeysuckle and the bee measures 5 by 3.5 by 3 this is a collectors dream there’s no squawk to this just listen to it happy Easter holidays.

This listing is for an Antique 3 bell & Butterfly ringer Orchestral Cylinder Music Box with 10 Airs (songs) on its barrel. It needs a comb and spring repair, but appears to be otherwise complete. I have not disassembled any components as it is beyond my current ability. It has its original music card on the inside of the lid, showing which songs it plays. It is numbered 15288, but I have not seen a makers name- it is likely under the bedplate. A great piece for restoration to its full glory! The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is ready for repair, comes as shown- as found (partially incomplete)- with parts shown. Please thoroughly examine photos.
