This antique Thorens automatic music works with 30 teeth is in working condition. It is larger at approximately 12 x 8 x 8. The dome lid treasure chest box has an inlaid wood design. There is a past repair visible to the back left corner as photographed. The finish to the lid has cloudiness, perhaps from wax build-up? It is still smooth but has a visible cloudiness. The music plays as it should and a video of it playing has been included.

Here’s a beautifully restored 1890’s 14-note “Gately Automatic Organ” produced by M. Gately, 72 Pearl Street, Boston Massachusetts. One original multi-tune roll of music and rewind crank is included with the organette. Additional music rolls are available at Pipes of Pan Music Rolls. Song titles include: Dundee Hornpipe, McLeod’s Reel, Haste to the Wedding & Swanee River. The walnut case is in excellent condition with the elaborate stenciling still clear and bright. A spring loaded “Expression” panel on the top can be pushed down for additional volume. The bellows, all leather valves and leather pallet valve lifting strips have been replaced and the organette plays loud and strong. Charming Music Box in Hand Crafted Wood Case by Thoren’s Automatic Disk Music Box. Tested – plays and in good working order – please see video. The case opens at the top (one hinge is missing 2 screws, so not connected on one side). There is a drawer that pulls out where you can store the music disks when not in use – original boxes for the disks. The top of the box holds the player and a place to hold disks. Includes instruction paper and the business card of the person who built the case. Bottom of the box has a carved signature of Paul Reppert who made it. The Songs (disks) include. This is a Vintage 1940 – 1950 Thorens hand made in Switzerland Automatic Music Box with 5 song discs and the original box. The Music Player works fine. The Wood Box is in excellent condition with very little signs of age and use. This Music Box comes with 5 song discs. The Wood Box is 7 1/2″ by 6 1/8″ by 2 7/8 and weighs 2 LB 11 OZ.
