Vintage Delft Blue ceramic music box celebrating the famous Dutch street organ “Het Zaalorgel” by master organ builder Carl Frei. Condition Report:Porcelain Casing: Pristine, investment-grade mint condition. There are absolutely NO chips, NO cracks, NO scuffs, and NO crazing (glaze spiderwebbing) anywhere on the piece. The cobalt blue imagery and handwriting are exceptionally crisp. Musical Mechanism: Functions fabulously. The brass winding key on the reverse turns smoothly and the internal music box movement plays clearly with beautiful tone and no distortion or skipping. Historical Details:The front showcases the grand facade of a Carl Frei barrel organ, while the reverse features the hand-painted Dutch inscription detailing the history of “Het Zaalorgel” (The Hall Organ)-recounting its origins in an early 1900s dance hall and its subsequent rebuild in 1926. This is a rare find in such flawless, collector-quality condition.
