The music box itself has a wind up key on the back, and once turned on, there is a ring that circles the Holy Family and there are four stationary lambs on it. The music of Silent Night plays when the music box is turned on. Inside the creche are the Holy Family (3), 4 lambs and 1 Donkey. On the outside are a cow, 3 Wisemen, 2 Lambs, and 2 Shepherds one boy and one girl. The individual figures are about 3″ tall (except the lambs) and the Creche is 13.5″ wide by 8 deep.

PLEASE NOTE, this item is listed at a lower price because a couple of the tines are broken off. The music still plays well (watch video to hear it), but it is an imperfection. The only other imperfections are a shallow scratch on the left angels arm, a couple small pen marks on the interior and a couple notches on the bottom of the top interior lid (see photos). Music box is in overall great vintage condition. From a smoke free home.

For your consideration is this really beautiful Music Box from Germany. It is a unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features a Nativity, the Holy Family with palm trees and sheep. This beautifully detailed music box was made in the Erzgebirge region in Germany by the Richard Glaesser company. When the music is playing, the entire platform rotates. The musical movement is a Sankyo. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well Silent Night. To wind it up, just turn the key underneath clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side. The music box is in excellent condition, apart from a repair to the star and some palm tree leaves. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. It would be a great Christmas gift and comes with its original box (has some writing on top) and instructions. It measures: 8″ tall and 6″ wide. He plays tune #37 Show me the way to go home. There are 2D size batteries in the base to power the lightbulb. I’ve always really like this particular Whistler. I think it’s just a really attractive design and carving.

This scene can be illuminated. The musical part is activated by the green wooden platform on the top right side. The musical movement is a. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: “Silent Night”. To wind it up, just turn the small platform. There is a working stopper on the front, too. The music box is in great condition, but unfortunately not complete. The angel on the little green platform is missing and a tree behind it, also 5 little yellow stars from the roof. There are no “feet” underneath. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. This Steinbach is super rare, not new and perfect, but very charming. It measures 12 3/4″ tall and about 12″ wide. From an estate sale: a Steinbach Christmas Tree Carousel made of wood. The music box plays Silent Night. It sounds nice and spins as it should. There is some cracking of the paint and a couple of dirty spots. It looks like one foot is not anchored properly not sure… Could just be dirt! Comes in the original Styrofoam box with Made in W Germany on it. Please review the pictures closely as they are part of the description.
