Up for sale is a very cool piece. This is a polyphon coin operated music box. It takes quarters right now, but from research they usually take large pennies from England. The disc that’s it in right now I believe is Auld Lange Syne. I have more disc’s I’ll include in the sale, however some of them are bent or warped so unsure if they’ll play. Overall very good condition on this Regina disc music player with mechanical dancing ballerinas. It is my understanding that these were hand constructed around the 1970s by a gentleman who was making these art works from antique Regina machines with bad cases. The coin mechanism and music mechanism are original antique Regina works. He then constructed the cases by hand and designed the mechanical spinning ballerinas.

For your consideration is this lovely vintage Music Box Coin Bank from Germany. The lid and body is silver plate. The side of the lid is marked: “Made in West Germany”. The lid just fits snuggly on top of the jar and can be locked on the side. The musical movement is a swiss REUGE movement. The sound is bright and clear, and it plays very well. To wind it up, just turn BAMBI clockwise. Whenever you put a coin in the slot, the music will play the song “this old man” from the Nursery Rhymes. While the music is playing Bambi rotates. This music box bank is in great condition. No cracks or chips. It is nicely polished and ready to gift. It is super rare, especially with lock and key. The only flaw is some glue residue inside, where the padding is missing. Just put a small piece of cloth of your choice in it. Measures about 4 3/4 tall. The jar is 3 wide.
