Very nice-looking music box. This appears to be a rare Reuge music box. Have not seen any like it with wood inlaid panels. Box possibly made in Italy, but the only markings are the label and on the Swiss movement. Plays “Rain Drops Are Falling On My Head”.

Lovely mechanical Swiss wind-up Reuge music box. Fine Italian made lacquered box with exquisite inlay work on the top which features strung instruments and sheet music accented by scrolling leaves and flowers. Brass claw feet with handles on the sides and a brass key which locks the box. Red velvet 2-tier interior is very clean. In excellent condition with no damage to mention. Plays “Can’t Help Falling in Love” written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss in 1961 but made famous by Elvis Presley. Nice larger size makes this an excellent decorative piece. 11.5″ wide x 6.25″ deep x 5-1/8 tall.

This antique music box is in excellent condition for it’s age. It features an upholstered, wooden construction, with a beautiful Turquoise cabochon on top of the lid. The Swiss Reuge movement (CH 2/36) plays two songs: “Love Story” and “Raindrops Keep Fallin On My Head”. Measures approximately 8″ x 6″ x 3. This item will be responsibly packed in a sturdy box and will arrive exactly as shown in the above pictures.
