Thorens Gramophone Music Box – 7 Discs – WORKS- 7 Discs. This music box works and on the bottom there is a sticker where it was from the San Francisco Music Box Company. It works fine but when you turn the switch to “off” it takes about 15-45 seconds or so for it to actually turn off. If you turn it back to “on” it plays again right away. It comes with a total of 7 Thorens Discs. The piece itself needs a bit of cleaning (dusty) and there are a couple marks of wear on the sound horn (see pics). If it gets lost, damaged or stolen then I will do all I can to get the claim filed, etc….

This is a rare solid oak Thorens “Gramophone” AD-30 disc player/ music box from the San Francisco Music Box Company, circa 1989. The solid oak cabinet is in pristine condition as is the removable solid brass horn, and both are accented beautifully by the gold hardware of the musical mechanism. The back of the cabinet features a storage area where you can place your musical discs. The musical mechanism features a winding key and a start/ stop lever. Included with this piece is a new 5 disc set of musical discs (Thorens disc set #MO-2), as well as an instruction sheet on how to use the musical mechanism.
