This mid-century luxury vanity piece combines exquisite Italian ceramic craftsmanship with a world-renowned, precision Swiss mechanical movement made by Reuge. Key Features & Rarity: Rare Retro Melody: Unlike common classical tunes, this rare variation plays the nostalgic 1969 hit “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” beautifully and smoothly! Mesmerizing Mechanical Automation: When wound and activated, the Swiss music box plays while all six ornate panels smoothly slide outward/open in unison, revealing the hidden vertical velvet-lined slots designed to hold lipsticks, vintage lip balms, or cigarettes. Classic Capodimonte Artistry: The body is crafted from high-quality Italian porcelain featuring three-dimensional raised relief depictions of playful cherubs (putti) accented by ornate scrolling gold-trimmed borders. Condition:Mechanical: In excellent, fully functional working order. The musical movement plays clearly and the automated doors glide open and closed perfectly. Cosmetic: The hand-painted porcelain body is vibrant and beautiful. Please note there is a small, stable vertical hairline fracture on the lower rim of the top porcelain lid (as shown explicitly in the close-up photo number 3). There are no missing chunks of porcelain or active crumbling. The silver-plated base shows authentic vintage patina and light pitting consistent with its 50+ year age. This is a heavy, delicate heirloom-quality item.
