Features an original colorful lithograph depicting children, an organ grinder with a performing dog and flowers. Handwritten label identifies the tune as Dixie’s Land. The music box remains in working condition and plays when the crank is turned. Original wooden case with age-related wear consistent with over 100 years of age. The lithograph shows tears, fading, and losses as shown in photographs, adding to its authentic antique character. Measures approximately 3½ inches long by 2 inches high. On the interior lid is a pretty lithograph providing a list of the songs it plays, marked’Marque de fabrique. Etabl Lith Art C. Pre-owned, item is in very nice condition given age. The outer box has scuffs and scratches and one of the feet has a piece broken off (included for repair). A key for the box is included. Inside, the Lithograph has yellowed and has some wear at edges. The musical mechanism may need some cleaning and/or repair as it played for us at one time but not at another (inconsistent). When it plays, it is just beautiful! Thank you for your interest!
