Up for sale is a beautiful antique brass cylinder music box housed in a solid wood case with elegant marquetry inlay. While there is no brand label or maker’s mark, this piece plays for a long time and has a rich, pleasant tone. It measures approximately 17″ wide x 8″ deep x 5.75 high. A few bumps and scuffs are present from age, but the case is solid and looks great overall. A lovely decorative and functional piece, perfect for collectors or vintage music box enthusiasts. Sankyo “PROLOGUE” clown band music box, ANIMATED wind-up, SUPER RARE. The 5 wood clown musician figurines move/ dance as the music plays. Plays “Little Brown Jug”. Excellent condition, with switch on side to cut off the music. 17″ long, 8.5″ tall, 3 wide. Very unusual and scarce. “PROLOGUE” is written in raised lettering on the front of the stage/base.

Here is a massive antique Swiss cylinder 6 air music box in handsome inlaid wood cabinet ; plays 6 airs on 14.5 long cylinder with double combs complete without damage or broken teeth, having change, repeat, start and stop levers, with powerful ratchet wind spring motor and jeweled governor as pictured. Please see photos for condition. No makers marks found except for a small unidentified partial manufacturers logo, missing tune card. This is a massive instrument weighing more than 90 pounds unpacked and handsomely cased in inlaid rosewood cabinet with satin wood banding, floral spray on lid, bronze handles, with contrasting black japanned trim. Instrument measures 38 long, by 15 wide, 11 tall. The defects noted : cabinet lid is slightly cupped , lock mechanism is missing as well as tune card as mentioned, a few veneer repairs to lid, and a small corner separation at front right, not affecting structure; mechanically the movement plays only one tune and does not change tunes, and there is some noticeable damper buzzing during play.
