Here is some additional information about this wonderful music box. First, it plays Wiegenlied Von Mozart and fully works. It’s a crank or wind-up, which is located on the bottom of the box. It is mostly green and white and has Santa, some Christmas type trees and a sleigh atop the rotating round base. It is 5.5 inches in height, and 5″x5″ inches diameter. It also features an on/off switch on the side to stop the music. It does look to have a small repair. It looks like the smallest tree was glued lightly to stay in place. No breaks, chips, cracks or other defects The Mapsa Vintage Wooden W. I’m inclined to believe that this music box is NOS (new old stock) by virtue of the fact that it was still wrapped in the wool fleece packaging that all new Reuge boxes of the 1980’s were packed in. Also, there is zero wear on the case. None! There is a tiny blemish on the back that I believe was there all along. View the backside photo for a look. This exceptional Reuge 72-note music box plays 3 classical baroque masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Arcangelo Corelli and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Glorious pieces that exemplify counterpoint. The style of the baroque music at that time. With 72 notes, and over 1,100 pins on the cylinder, the beautiful and technically challenging passages can be enjoyed without compromise. There simply is no music box that eclipses the sound quality of a Reuge. It has been beautifully taken care of in its half century of existence. Very nice solid vintage shape, and appears to be in good working order. It winds and plays when you slide the button below the key hole to the right, and plays through until you slide it back. It sounds great, and plays The Magic Flute, Eine Kleine NachtMusik, and The Turkish March. Sometimes the nut that holds the bar that slides to hit the mechanism comes a little loose and needs tightened. Aside from that I’ve found no issues with it. Lock works, but can be finicky at times. Physically it shows normal display wear in the form of some light scuffing on the wood. Looks very nice overall. Measures 11x7x4 with the lid closed. This listing is for the Vintage Reuge CH 3/72 glass music box that you see in the photos. It plays three separate pieces by Mozart one at a time. The little button needs to be pushed to play the next piece. Including the feet, it measures close to 9 1/2 by 6 inches. Without the feet the glass box measures close to 7 7/8 by 4 3/4 inches. It weighs close to 4 pounds 5 ounces. The condition is much like you see it in the photo. If it’s generally very good condition. A close-up shows how one of the feet is darker around the head of the dolphin. There is some imperfection where the glass is joined along a long side and a little bit along a shorter side. I think that something has affected the glue. It might be a manufacturing flaw. A little of the comb looks a little darkened. Those imperfections are shown in closet-ups. There are no cracks or chips. With my naked eye, do not see any scratches. It appears to be working as it should it should work. My photos should give you a good idea of it’s general condition. I guarantee this music box to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. Please note that the lighting in my photos is uneven, and there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors; different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “approximately” because no measurements are exact, and some things are difficult to measure. Often, I have a double-walled box custom made for larger items, which might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually made from biodegradable materials.
