Up for sale is a rare antique German sterling silver automated mechanical singing bird box. It features a very ornate sterling silver enclosed box design that is elaborately made with ornate cherub scened done in high relief. The automated bird is operated by a key winding mechanism underneath which is triggered by a pull switch on the side. The bird is made of many different natural colored feathers and is also made of many different miniature moving parts. It is in good working condition and measures 4 1/2 inches long by 3 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches tall. The box could use a little regular oiling maintenance.
