German RS Porcelain Music Box Plays Reinhold Schlegelmilch. Would make a great gift for a special occasion or keep for yourself! The jewelry box was made in Germany. By the Reinhold Schlegelmilch Company. All there, no dings or missing pieces. Just some very minor surface scratching. Nice design of a maiden with her suitor and a sheep on the outside of the top. Sides of the box have a dark blue background with gold detailing. The inside of the case is white with gold around the perimeter. Then pink roses with green flowering in the middle of the inside bottom of the case. Not sure what song the music box is playing. No tag identifying on the case. The music box spring feels sound when keyed. The top to the case is securely attached to the case. Some minor wear to the finish of the case, still looks great. The music box itself has a wind up key on the back, and once turned on, there is a ring that circles the Holy Family and there are four stationary lambs on it. The music of Silent Night plays when the music box is turned on. Inside the creche are the Holy Family (3), 4 lambs and 1 Donkey. On the outside are a cow, 3 Wisemen, 2 Lambs, and 2 Shepherds one boy and one girl. The individual figures are about 3″ tall (except the lambs) and the Creche is 13.5″ wide by 8 deep.
