This is a RARE 36 note music movement that was professionally rebuilt with many new parts. The hard to find tune is I. The green wooden box shows some wear on the top. See photos 11 & 12. The gears were oiled just prior to listing. The dimensions are 6″ x 4.25″ x about 2.75 high. All photos are of the actual item that you will receive. This is an Antique Organette Roller Organ style music box. This is known as The Musical Casket No. It has had the bellows and flap valves newly recovered and restored and it plays very well. Please see the videos of it playing. Included are two original paper rolls and a reproduction rewind crank. The rolls are playable but have had a lot of repairs as the paper is very, very old. It is okay for an occasional demonstration, but if you wish to play this instrument regularly I would recommend getting some recuts through Pipe Of Pan music and saving these originals for occasional use. The stenciling on the cabinet is bright and clear. The finish does have some scrapes including a ding in the wood on the folding door (see the picture). On the whole this is a very nice looking little organette. The black knob on the front of the instrument is used to disengage the play mechanism and must be pressed down while rewinding the music roll. The first Roll has the following tunes. Watch On The Rhine. The second roll is missing its title sheet but plays several verses of In The Sweet By and By.
