Cosmetically its still in nice condition. There are 2 issues. Issue #1 is that when you turn the power button to “on”, you will have to tap the bottom for it to start playing. The light in the box works. Issue #2 is that the battery door lever was brittle and broke inside. You can use a screwdriver to open it. Watch the video to see the issues.

This is ULTRA RARE! It is vintage 1986. It was tested and works as intended. It plays approximately 45 seconds when switched on. Then with a tap it will play again if the switch is in the “ON” position. It plays sample “overture” with fade out and has a volume knob on right panel. It lights up for dramatic effect. There is a video that shows that it is in working order. The approximate dimensions are: 5 5/8″ w x 4 3/4″ h x 4 3/8 deep. The battery compartment is clean with no corrosion issues and is powered by 2 AA Batteries. We will include 2 batteries but they will need to be replaced eventually, of course. RARE San Francisco Music Box Alligator Dentist Chair Crocodile Shadow of Smile Vtg. A very rare and hard to find piece. It is used and in nice shape with just some normal use wear (see pictures and video). There are some scuffs on the bottom (see pictures). It does have the original stickers on the bottom (see pictures). It is tested and works well with a nice sound. The music tune played is called The Shadow of Your Smile. It stands approximately 5 1/8 inches tall at the tallest point (see pictures). You get exactly what is pictured. Reuge Switzerland for Neiman Marcus 36 comb music box plays Kiss Waltz and Treasure Waltz; single rear mirror; single on/off switch on the back. The dolls were hand made by Madame Marthe Phillaparte in Paris reflecting the costumes of 1782 dancers. The tiny flowers were taken from her own garden. The ballroom features beautiful floral wallpaper and a herringbone floor. Size: 7.5×8.75 inch gold leaf frame. Condition: Excellent physical condition; exquisitely detailed; appears complete; the dancers move freely and the light works; but for whatever reason the music box doesn’t play and the cord has been cut (120V); missing the front two wooden feet on the bottom of the box (appears that it may have been a built-in wall unit).
