Charming Incense Smoker Burner by Steinbach Volkskunst – West Germany. Clown standing next to a drum. He is wearing big shoes, yellow bow tie and top hat. The drum says, “Akrobat Schooon”. Plays “Oh Mein Papa Tome You are so Wonderful” (I think) see video. Pull the top of his body off and put the incense cone in the now exposed holder. When lit, smoke will come out of the clown’s mouth. Wooden on wood stand – hand turned, assembled, and painted. No smoke marks inside, may have never been used – terrific condition – see photos. 5 1/4″ by 3 3/4″ base. Thank you for looking! This item is NOT new or perfect! For your consideration is this really beautifully detailed Music Box from Germany. It is a unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well-known Steinbach company. It features the Holy Family in their shelter with praying angels and sheep. This scene can be illuminated. The musical part is activated by the green wooden platform on the top right side. The musical movement is a. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: “Silent Night”. To wind it up, just turn the small platform. There is a working stopper on the front, too. The music box is in great condition, but unfortunately not complete. The angel on the little green platform is missing and a tree behind it, also 5 little yellow stars from the roof. There are no “feet” underneath. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. This Steinbach is super rare, not new and perfect, but very charming. It measures 12 3/4″ tall and about 12″ wide. From an estate sale: a Steinbach Christmas Tree Carousel made of wood. The music box plays Silent Night. It sounds nice and spins as it should. There is some cracking of the paint and a couple of dirty spots. It looks like one foot is not anchored properly not sure… Could just be dirt! Comes in the original Styrofoam box with Made in W Germany on it. Please review the pictures closely as they are part of the description.

Rare Vintage Steinbach S2 German Music Box – Erzgebirge Folk Art – Working Condition. Beautiful handcrafted music box from the Steinbach Gr. Präsentspieldose S2 series, made in Hohenhameln, Germany. This collectible piece features charming, hand-painted wooden figures in the traditional Erzgebirge folk art style. ? Music box mechanism winds and plays properly. ? Classic German craftsmanship with detailed painted flowers, trees, and woodland characters. The center pinecone “tree” (a large footed pinecone) is missing, along with 2 small pinecones that originally sat beside it. 2 rabbits remain in the center, but both are missing their heads. One human figure on the outer ring is missing entirely (only a stump remains). Another human figure is present but damaged : missing head, part of one arm, and the mushrooms she originally held. Some light scuffing and paint wear consistent with age. Label intact on underside. Please see all photos for accurate visual detail. Despite the cosmetic flaws, the music plays well and it still displays beautifully – a great candidate for restoration or to enjoy as-is. The music box is in great condition and almost complete, the little girl with the red skirt is missing her pole, though. The sun has been re-glued. Otherwise it is great.
