Here is an antique Tournaphone Cecilia Organette. It has a hand crank and uses bellows, reeds, and paper rolls to produce music. Im unsure of the manufacturing date, but Id guess 1880. This particular model is very hard to find. The case has some finish loss and has a replacement screw on the left side. There is a crack in the wood lip above the Cecilia name. The hand crank has some damage to the wood. The mechanics work on the inside, but it does not produce music. This has been in my family for many years and it produced music in the early 2000s, but has sat unused since then. The bellows seem intact. I think the reeds need cleaning. It measures approximately 14x12x12. Please let me know if you have any questions. PLAYS 14 WIDE PAPER ROLLS. THE STAND HAS A STORAGE COMPARTMENT ON EACH SIDE FOR PAPER ROLLS. THE UNIT CRANKS WELL, VERY SMOOTH, BUT NO SOUND. IT IS VERY OLD AND AS IS USUAL WITH THESE ITEMS THE BELLOWS DEVELOP A TEAR… NOT A HARD FIX AT ALL. THERE IS SOME WEATHERING TO THE UNIT BIT THE DETAIL IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. THE CONSTRUCTION IS VERY SOLID, IT DOESN’T WOBBLE OR CREAK, ETC. THERE ARE NO CRACKS OR SPLITS THAT WE CAN SEE ANYWHERE. THE PINS THAT CATCH THE STORAGE DOOR LOCKS ARE WORN DOWN AND WOULD NEED TO BE READJUSTED IF YOU MOVE THE UNIT AROUND TOO AGGRESSIVELY 1 OF THE DOORS, SOMETIMES BOTH, WILL FALL OPEN. Restored 25 note Tournaphone organette produced by the Tournaphone Co. This organette has a very tall resonator style reed block that gives it a deep full sound not found in other organette’s. Beautiful walnut case and nice stenciling with a hinged framed glass expression panel on top. Original manufacturing label #1435 and directions intact. New bellows, inner/outer flap & safety valve leather, reed block leather seal, drive/rewind and crankshaft rubber, expression door felt and re-tuned reeds. Includes 2 original multi-tune music rolls.
