This one is rare and hard to find. Found at a Utah estate sale among many high end collectibles, some dated back to the 1940s and some were early 2000s. I’ll be listing several nutcrackers that came from there as well. Measures about 6 tall. Music box appears to play fine. For your consideration is this really beautiful Music Box from Germany. It is an unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well known Steinbach company. It features a family of 5 hiking in the woods. The oldest boy is a musician and brought his Mandolin. Super cute and detailed scenery. The musical movement is a. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well “Happy Wanderer”. To wind it up, just turn the platform clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side, too. The music box is in excellent condition and complete. The red bird is not original, though. There are also 2 linear hairline cracks in the platform and one on the side. They are hardly recognizable. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. It measures about 9″ tall and 6″ wide. Comes from a clean and smoke free home. Please ask, if you have any questions about this item!
