ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY HENRY GAUTSCHI & SONS SWISS 6 SONG CYLINDER MUSIC BOX, WORKS! Stunning Antique 19th Century Henry Gautschi & Sons Swiss Cylinder Music Box, 6 Songs. Made in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. This is a Fantastic Old Cylinder Music Box with 6 Songs. This Music Box plays very strong and seems to be working fine. The play switch works perfect but the stop feature does not. Should be a simple fix. But honestly you don’t really need this feature. I really don’t know a lot about this model but the winding lever mechanism is a thing of beauty. She has ratchet style handle on the inside (left side) you simply pull the handle lever bracket back and she ratchets back until you have the box fully wound. Incredible design and simple to use. The Swiss mechanism is in excellent working and cosmetic condition and has a very nice strong sound, plays great. She was serviced by Timekeepers on 1-8-2015 and may have been serviced last year as well. Over all the case is still very solid. The box is old so it has typical age appropriate wear and distinctive characteristics in accordance to many years of use. She has a fair amount of finish wear and issues especially on top. Large finish blemish on the top back part of lid. 5″ tall 14 3/4″ wide and 8 deep and she weighs almost 9 pounds. Overall this is an outstanding working antique music box. Don’t miss this one!!
