Antique Extremely Rare 1870s 6 Song Cylinder Music Box Working! This music box is in great working condition, and it sounds amazing! The fork appears to be missing 3 teeth. Other than that its working great and looks great. The case shows some signs of wear. We arent sure if this is Austrian or Swiss. Inside the lid are all the songs and several awards form the International Exhibition of 1876 in Philadelphia, held by the United States Centennial Commission to celebrate the nations 100th birthday. The seal for this is displayed inside the lid, along with a second seal: Wellausstellung 1873 Wien Franz. Please use the photos for more details we arent sure who made it. We found one other music box with this exact paper work thats proved over 40k however its much more intricate than this one. This was made about 1875 in Teufenthal, Switzerland by a company named Karrer et Cie. They were founded by Adolf Karrer in 1854. The company changed names to E. Karrer-Hoffman around 1880 and went out of business around 1895.. The item “Antique Extremely Rare 1870s 6 Song Cylinder Music Box Working! Worlds Fair” is in sale since Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
