Antique French Tile Music Box. Presented for your consideration is this beautiful antique French music box. The music box is a box with carved wooden framework, rounded legs and a large hand painted porcelain tile on the top. The porcelain has a very detailed and colorful scene of a man trying to woo a woman. The woman is laying against what appears to be a grassy rock as the man presents flowers to her. In the background is a small body of water and a white colored house with trees around it. Nice, intricate detailing is present throughout the scene. At the side is a small lever that turns the music box on and off. On the back is a winding key which easily turns. Also on the back is a small paper label with French wording on it. Presumed to be a list of songs the music box plays. This great looking music box would make a great addition to any antique or vintage music box collection! A small chip is out of the porcelain in the lower right corner. Otherwise the box is free of chips, splits and cracks. Light wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
