Very rare and unique Henry Gautschi & Sons music box from the 1880’s. Music box works well. Plays all 8 songs flawlessly. Has very beautiful bees that move about and hit the bells while playing. The bees do work but not 100%, seems they need oiled or restored. They do move and don’t stick if you freely move them. Box measures: 20″ wide, 10″ deep, and sits 10 tall. The box was missing one foot so a makeshift one was freely added to ensure the box sits stable – it is not attached. Some general wear and slight cracking down by one foot, nothing major or that impacts the actual use of the box. Glass is in perfect shape. Attached papers have rips/wear as seen in the pics. All in all this is in excellent shape for its age, and if you can restore it it will end up beautiful. If you have any further questions please feel free to message me!
