Antique Victorian French Bontems Twin Singing Birds in Cage Music Box Automaton. ANTIQUE SINGING BIRD CAGE MUSIC BOX. Two (2) Large Animated Birds. We are pleased to offer this fabulous bird cage, made by Bontems of Paris in the late 1800’s. Stands 22″ tall with the ring to the table and 12″ diameter at the base. The brass cage, with embossed repousse base, has not been polished. VERY RARE TO FIND A 100% ORIGINAL ANTIQUE EXAMPLE. THIS IS THE MASSIVE TWO FOOT TALL MODEL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND WAS CRAFTED IN THE LATE 1800’s. This is a rare find and this is a wonderful example and rare 100% original condition. The three rubber cushions on the wood base were dried out and removed so you will need to replace the feet. The movement is in great working order. The animated birds are also in great working order.
