Old estate find late 1800s Symphonion double comb disc crank music box in good working condition with 8 10-5/8 discs. Originally the big tabletop coin op version, coin op has been disabled for free play personal home use by previous owner. Still has coin collection box, coin slot and signage. Not sure what it would involve to get coin operating again. Plays great with full rich double comb sound. Condition consistent with age and use including patina, surface scratches, surface wear and oxidation. Could use a cleaning but not necessary as it displays and plays well. Could possibly use a tune up, I know they need them from time to time from normal use so I would recommend but it sounds fine as is. Both combs in good condition with no broken teeth. Previous owner planned to completely restore this music box and removed both locks to replace but passed away before he finished so no locks or keys which doesnt show from outside of box.
