Large Antique Swiss Music Box with Mechanical Organ. Swiss Music Box with Mechanical Organ. Works and plays 10 airs. 25″ x 12″ x 11. 2nd half of 1800. Made in Geneva, Switzerland. Combines the crispy timbre of the metal teeth and the soft and sustained notes from the pipes. 13×2.5 inch cylinder with organ pins block in the middle. There is a cam that compresses the bellows to make the organ work. Every hole in the organ is tested, spring works as they should to open/close the valve. Tune indicator shows current song played. All teeth present but see flaws below. Zithers can be enabled/disable to change the color of sound. Beautiful hardwood case with birds eye figures and metal inlay. V Bulleid’s book, the tune sheet suggests it’s made by the renowned maker Bremond ; but could also be from other Genevan makers such as Conchon or Pillard if I missed anything. From the tune sheet.
