1966 Oval Made-in-Japan Musical Jewelry Box with Dancing-on-Stage Ballerina, Key
1966 oval musical jewelry box with dancing-on-stage ballerina, which moves via magnet underneath the small square mirrored stage. Sections of mirror in lid make it appear that numerous ballerinas are dancing. Music box is the wind-up type. A young man and young lady are pictured dancing on the top, surrounded by flower sketches. As you can see in the video, the music box plays a bit slower than when new. Movement of dancer is a bit shaky. Was originally a birthday gift. Some small scuffs and dings to surface of the box, due to age and wear. Red lining is a bit faded; all the mirrors show age. Thin gold cording around stage is securely fastened in place. Wind up key is on bottom. Tiny key for the lock and ballerina are original and included.
