For sale is a Thomas Dawkins cylinder music box from the late 1800s and made in Geneva, Switzerland. The music box is in great cosmetic and mechanical condition (a little loss of the decorative area on the front of the box), has double winding springs, has double combs, and has the signature brass beaded comb washer that Dawkins used on their music boxes. This music box also has an unusual feature that allows you to select the specific tune desired on the cylinder–right rear of the playing mechanism. The music box plays 10 tunes on it’s 12.5 inch pinned cylinder. The music box itself is 28 in. Long x 10 in. Deep and 8 in. High and has the nice handles on each end to move the music box. The music box does not have a tune sheet to identify the songs and I’m not musically inclined enough to identify the tunes.
