The black wooden box has a graphic on the top of leaves , a brass pitcher with a handle and a brass goblet. Box is distressed which adds to its character. When you lift the lid youll see a hand crank which turns the cylinder. There is a paper attached on the inside lid which reads the names of the six tunes which are, See Saw Waltz, Carnival of Venice, Mandolencia, Secret Love, Gasperona and Blooming. On the right side are two toggle switches. One reads changer at the top and repeat at the bottom. The lower one reads stop at the top and play at the bottom. These do not appear to work but if someone knew what they were doing they could possibly be repaired. The crank however and the cylinder/music box work great and the sound is beautiful. The hinged lid opens to reveal a cylinder with a comb. It has a key hole but no key. The music box is in good working order. It measures 13 L x 6.5 W x 5H. It could stand a little cleaning on the inside but I will leave that up to the new owner to do as they wish. On the inside there is a newspaper clipping dated 1935. It is just talking about a woman in Missouri who owns a similar music box which was antique at the time. Beautiful music box, great conversation piece and treasure to have for years to come.
