KALLIOPE MUSIC BOX WITH BELLS INCLUDES 35 DISKS! In our efforts to provide absolute top-quality items for sale, we continually search the world for the finest antique phonographs, clocks and music boxes. Our on-line collection, available for viewing at Musical Treasures of Miami, displays a vast array of museum-quality items, which not only include antique music boxes, but phonographs, clocks and other antique mechanical rarities. This particular treasure was made in Leipzig, Germany, c. 1890 by Kalliope Musikwerke. Music boxes of this type were usually coin-operated, for use in pubs and restaurants. The double combs are accompanied by 12 tuned saucer bells. The combs, without broken teeth or damper squeaks, have a “zither” attachment for tone adjustment. Overall measurements are 77″ tall x 31″ wide x 16 deep. This was fully restored in Switzerland last year by the world-famous Baud Museum Workshop and casework restorer Monsieur Denis Margot, both of L’Auberson. Plays size 20.5 disks, which we will provide a nice selection of 35. This is a fabulous music box in stunning condition. You will not be disappointed!
