The crystal Dauphin is a classic and one of the most beautiful of all music boxes made by Reuge of Switzerland. The name refers to the ancient dolphin figures that serve as the legs. The crystal glass allows a full 360-degree view of the outstanding 3/72 movement. The movement is bright, clean and shiny. It winds up smoothly and works perfectly, with a beautiful tone. The mechanism switches effortlessly between the songs. The music starts and stops at the end of the tune via a lever along the bottom, front edge. Tunes are Gavotte, Minuet from Don Juan, and The Magic Flute. This is certainly one of Reuge’s most beautiful creations.
