The restored double-comb mechanism, with “short” bed plate, a Regina invention that was a vast improvement over earlier “long” versions, is without damaged teeth or damper noise. It produces pitch-perfect music that is extremely pleasant and perfectly in tune. The phonograph components, as originally supplied by Columbia, are in perfect order, without pitting, corrosion, or other so-called “patina”. The internal spruce wood phonograph horn is accessed by opening the sliding doors at the front.
