This one of a kind automaton presents a 3D version of the famous engraving from the DON QUIXOTE 19-th century edition. The engraving was created by Gustav Dore, and called “DON QUIXOTE IN HIS LIBRARY”. The automaton scene includes more than 30 characters (made of resin): knights, robbers, musicians, giant, mouse, and dragon, horses, Sir Don Quixote sitting in his chair and reading the book, and more, and more. Most of the characters are moving. The scene is theatrically lighted with colorful LEDs. The automaton have been built during about 10 years. Anatoly Zayaruzny, have spent hundreds hours to create it. The box with enclosed scene is a cube with 75 cm sides. It is covered with fabric and has a “window” at the front. There is a pushing knob on the front of the box that activates the motor. After pushing the knob the lights are on and characters start to move. The performance’ time may be regulated within the range of 1-90 seconds (now it is set to 40 seconds). The box with automaton. The poster with the book illustration, framed.
