A wonderful antique example with a stunning case. 935 sterling silver with guilloche tooling and hand painted full pictorial enamel scenes on all four sides and the top. The detail is outstanding. I fully serviced this bird box so everything works as it should and I touched up the bird feathers. This was crafted by OMM right around 1900. There is not any damage or repair to the enamel case. There are some exceptionally tiny hairlines on the enamel lid that are not noticeable with the naked eye. It is amazing to find a 120 year old singing bird box in such outstanding original condition. The original mechanical movement is also in excellent condition – fully serviced. In summary, this is a fantastic antique singing bird box in amazing cosmetic and mechanical condition. I fully serviced (cleaned, adjusted, lubricated) the mechanical movement so this singing bird box operates perfectly.
