This listing is for an Antique Music Box with three (3) porcelain figures mounted on a brass base containing the music box. This has the appearance of a German / Dresden piece. No apparent makers marks are evident and I did not attempt to dissemble to reveal any markings. It is a figural group of two (2) women and a man playing a violin. The women are seated together on a divan listening to the violin music. All the figures are dressed in Victorian period clothes with very ornate styling and bright colors. The figures are attached to a porcelain base that has floral decorations scattered around. This figural group, with the porcelain base, is mounted on a decorative metal / brass base. Inside the metal base is the music box. The wind-up thumb-key is on the bottom of the base and you slide a lever on the back right of the metal base to start and stop the music. The porcelain figures and base have great color and are in very good antique condition with no apparent damage, cracks, or repairs. The metal / brass base is also in very good vintage condition. The antique music box and winder work fine, and play a sweet melody. This entire piece is approximately 12″ wide, 8 deep, and 10 ½” tall. The low starting price does not reflect the items quality.
