The music box itself has a wind up key on the back, and once turned on, there is a ring that circles the Holy Family and there are four stationary lambs on it. The music of Silent Night plays when the music box is turned on. Inside the creche are the Holy Family (3), 4 lambs and 1 Donkey. On the outside are a cow, 3 Wisemen, 2 Lambs, and 2 Shepherds one boy and one girl. The individual figures are about 3″ tall (except the lambs) and the Creche is 13.5″ wide by 8 deep.
