For your consideration is this lovely vintage Music Box from Germany. The lid is silver plate and the jar is a nice and fine porcelain, made by Rosenthal. The side of the lid is marked: “Made in Germany”. The lid just fits snuggly on top of the jar and stays in place through its own weight. The musical movement is a swiss REUGE movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: “This old Man”. To wind it up, just turn the ballerina clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side of the ballerina, too. While the music is playing the ballerina rotates. This music box is in excellent condition, it is nicely polished and ready to gift. Measures about 5 tall. The jar is 4 1/4 wide.
