19th Century Swiss-made Du Commun Girod Music Box Fruitwood with Inlay & Banding This is a mechanical musical instrument that plays tunes using a pinned cylinder and a comb with tuned teeth. When the large lever on the left inside is cranked it moves the large gear but not the adjoining smaller gear. May not be that difficult for a knowledgeable person to fix and have the music box up and running. Still an attractive display piece with a little wear as shown in our pictures.
