The back has a hinged door, revealing a compartment for the bird key (key is missing). The top of the lid depicts an edwardian couple painted on porcelain. The underside of lid has a painted enamel floral motif. When pressing the operating lever, the bird pops out to flutter and sing a melodious tune. Width 3 7/8″ x Depth 2 5/8″ x Height 2 3/4. The silver gilt box show tarnish and wear. The bird will pop up and sing, move it’s mouth and slightly flap its wings. It doe not twirl and flap it’s wings fully. The box will need some calibration to work at its full potential. There is no key for the box. There are a few cracks to the porcelain lid top and minor chips to the enameled underside edge. Despite the condition issues, it is still a tiny marvel of beauty and ingenuity. Please review all informational photos and video for conditions stated and for consideration. Condition is Pre Owned.
